The Venice of the North!

Pender Harbour is called the “Venice of the North” because of the complex maze of waterways, inlets, protected harbours, rivers and lakes. The Harbour has the largest and best-protected anchorage in the Pacific Northwest. Explore Garden Bay, Oyster Bay, Gunboat Bay, Hospital Bay, and many more, by kayak, sail, canoe or yacht.

  • Francis Point Marine Park, on Francis Peninsula is a new Sunshine Coast eco-attraction. This 80-hectare property is classified as a “very dry maritime sub-zone”. The low elevation forest with diverse plants and shrubs is found only on the Eastern side of Vancouver Island and limited areas of the Sunshine Coast.
